Mercedes 300 Adenauer W186 1952 for sale
The Mercedes 300 W186 was built from November 1951 to August 1957 and there were 7645 units produced in total.
Exterior: It has a pretty good paint for a project car. There is a scratch on the right-hand side that has been filled in with paint. There are a few small bubbles at the door but otherwise no rust visible. Rear screen on right side is milky. The big tyres look nice but are probably very old. The car was parked for a long time towards a wall, so the rear bumper has some surface rust. The other chrome parts are in ok condition. This car looks just perfect on pictures, but I hope you understand at this price level it is not.
Interior: It has the green velour interior which is rather unusual for the 300 Adenauer and it looks amazing. The condition of the inside is actually pretty good. All the chrome details inside is very nice. The seat covers look original and are still in good condition. There is in some places some small brown spots and some small repair, but overall, for a soon 70-year-old cloth interior it is incredible. Also, headliner and sun visors in very good condition
Engine: After the long sleep we have put new ignition parts, rebuilt the carburettors, cleaned out the fuel tank, fitted new plugs, changed the oil and the car is now running nice. Gearbox and final drive are also good, but the car needs brake work.
History: I do not have much information about the history of this car. But from my understanding it has a very low chassi number (40) so it is a very early car. It was sitting for many years with a collector in Germany that now have passed away. The German registration document had been lost, but it comes with a document from the German authorities that shows there is no claims for this car, and it can be registered in Germany again. Also, with a Dekra paper showing the technical details of this vehicle. This car will be sold only after personal inspection and it is sold as a complete and drivable project car. We can arrange transport and we can take another car in trade. Open to offers and we can provide plenty of pictures and videos from this car so there is no need for travel in vane.
