One part of the equation is the mighty 6. 75 Turbo V8 which proved a huge improvement over its other Bentley siblings. The other part is the unique sought after active suspension (R stands for Roadholding) which transformed the handling of the 2. 5 tonne beast. Both of these developments made the Turbo R undoubtedly the best all round package in its day.
