The car is a Phase 1 Peerless GT from 1959 and is in need of a complete restoration. I bought the car in 2016 with every intention of restoring it myself but due to a career change and multiple other excuses I am no longer able to complete the project. This car has its original number plate and has its V5 logbook too.
Since obtaining the car I have removed the shell from the frame to inspect the work that is needed. Here is what we found:
- The chassis is in need of extensive repair – a lot of welding is required on the bottom chassis rails and some of the rails need replacing all together.
- The body shell is in amazing condition and would need very minimal work doing to it before it is ready to paint. Having looked over the shell it doesn’t look like the car has been crashed and we were really happy with the overall structure of this body.
- Pretty much all the parts are included (I will list any missing parts below) and are ready to be re-conditioned and added back to the car. We also have a newly refurbished gearbox which we can add in too.
- We are also able to offer the glass with the car including the back windscreen which is sometimes hard to come by.
- The car still comes with its original registration number.
- The car is right hand drive.
- The 2. 0L Triumph TR3A engine with overdrive unit is included with Stromberg carbs. There is a refurbished gearboxe with this ca
- Rear axle and differential is all complete (two units to come with car)
- The car is 99% complete with all key parts included
- Original fuel tanks.
- This is a wire wheeled car and these will come with it.
- The car has its original badge.
Below I have listed some of the missing parts:

Please be aware that the car is a complete restoration project and all parts will need to be refurbished before assembly except for the gearbox. The interior will need re-trimmed and the wiring will need to be re-done. The car is completely disassembled and is not a rolling shell so in terms of collection this needs to be taken into account.
