Descrição
Rickman Metisse 125 ISDT Micro Six-Day Model.
Built in 1974 & registered as a Historic vehicle with full UK V5, excellent condition & accompanied by an original Rickman workshop folder/ manual. The bike has a great patina after a sympathetic restoration in 2014 when the motorcycle was repatriated back to the UK from the USA. Most of these Rickman motorcycles were exported to the rapidly growing USA market. This bike was shipped to BSA inc in the USA in 1974.
The motorcycle has been well maintained, serviced & the engine has had a full overhaul with only 1415 mls on the clock since the tyres are new, the carb has been replaced with an Amal the original Bing carb is in good condition and is included.
This is a very durable, manoeuvrable, lightweight, easy to start motorcycle with a seat height 33". A useable 70s classic Enduro fully road legal, equally happy on or off road & is also “Learner Legal” for any new comers to motorcycling. A great introduction to classic Enduro motorcycles from the Rickman brothers. The bike has not been ridden since Dec19 but has been started & run.
An article of the time wrote: - So successfully & well received were these Rickman Zundapp Enduro that the Rickman brothers were assigned by ACU in the states to supply six examples for the 1973 ISDT. This model brought gold to Ernie Page, Jim Sandiford & Mick “Bonky” Bowers in the ISDT, fitted with the standard Zundapp engines these machines from New Milton had to endure six days of flat-out racing to win. It was a lasting testimony to the riders, the durability of the German engines & quality of the UK machines. It is also obvious upon closer inspection that a practical off-road motorcyclist has put a lot of thought into the design & construction of these marvellous machines.
Fully ready for those summer evening & weekend ride-outs.
This is not a show bike. If you would like the photos emailed or any additional photos just drop me a line.
No overseas scamming scum thanks.
