The third series Charade GTti sport version was one of the most iconic ‘boy racer’ hatchbacks of the 80s. It featured a 3-cylinder turbocharged twin cam engine that produced 100 bhp, more than any other 1 lt unit in history at the time. Its formidable 135 bhp per ton ratio, MacPherson struts, antiroll bars and vented discs in the front made this hatchback a pure joy to drive to the limit.
The GTti offered here is one of the few remaining original and intact survivors which was bought from its 3rd owner in 2018. The body was soon after resprayed with the exterior and interior primed with a coat of special preservation wax, an expensive treatment for future classics often used in prewar preservation treatments. The front right fender was replaced by its previous owner due to a dent but no accident. The engine and its turbine are fully serviced. A new set of tires is fitted and the exhaust is replaced. The interior and exterior could use minor cosmetics.
