With a 6-speed manual gearbox, 291bhp and a top speed of 171mph, the Cayman is a worthy component for many ‘superior’ sports cars. Fun to drive, easy to own and more than pleasing on the eye, we are starting to see the first signs of a classic car following for the early 987 Cayman.

Recently it’s had the track rod ends replaced, with the tracking set up by Sports & Classic - not something that was necessary but it’s nice to deal with MOT advisories before they turn into major issues. In 2020 £1550 was spent on a new clutch, dual mass flywheel and the IMS bearing offering piece of mind for the next owner.
