A series 3 example of this rare family saloon, featuring a smooth, powerful 6 cylinder 2. 6 litre engine with twin carbs and a 4 speed; unusually the gear lever has been re-positioned in the more expected centre position rather than to the right of the driver’s seat (linkage to return gear-change to original position is with the car), servoed brakes work well, all in all a very pleasant relaxed drive. Sound underneath, most of the paintwork is old but presentable, lovely original interior with soft leather seats, fine woodwork, good headlining and carpets. Had an alternator conversion, air filters are later but original one in the boot, useful towbar, and period radio. Has recently passed its MOT (not required), comes with a little history, Driver’s Handbook and Factory Workshop Manual.
