This cute little “Ape” is as much fun as you can legally have with your clothes on, a smile every mile, cheap as chips to run, earn a wage with its optional unique, foldable advertising platform, play, promote, shows, rallies, mobile coffee, bar, shop the options are endless.
It starts very easily and runs great, pulls well and stops very well the brakes are sharp. All the gears select easily including the reverse, its super fun to drive, you can’t help grinning. All the side lights, headlights and indicators working, the wiper works, both doors open and click shut, both door windows open. Cab is fairly tidy with an unripped seat tidy carpet mats.
50cc model, can be used by a 16 year old, very cheap to run, tax and insure. These are widely adapted for coffee vans, prosecco bars, promotional events, pizza vans, we are selling the base vehicle in running order ready for you to adapt in any way you choose.
It comes with its correct import papers (NOVA) an age confirmation letter from the “Lambretta Archive” confirming its year and a completed V55 form in the buyer’s name to register for UK roads if required. We can guide the buyer through the process of registration which will require getting an MOT and insurance. You may not require registration if your converting so we have not proceeded any further.
The Ape is in “As arrived” condition freshly imported from Italy. We are not trained vehicle inspectors but have looked over the little Ape (our opinion might not match that of a VOSA inspector), we found no serious problems or faults found, no rust holes in the floor, nominal play in the rear wheel bearings, no serious play in the suspension bushes and swing arm bushed, one rear tyre is worn, other two are fine. Brakes work well on all three wheels, good handbrake. Steering is sound with no undue play in the column. Some dash light bulbs need replacing, washer bottle missing (a plastic bottle with a hole in the cap is all that’s required) Bodywork is in ex-working vehicle condition with marks, dinks, imperfections and scratches, one plastic trim missing from the bottom of the left door. Exhaust is sound. Other minor faults could be present and unnoticed during our inspection.
ADVERTISING OPTION
We have given this fun motor an earning potential by creating a removable platform so you can use the Ape as an advertising vehicle, charging others to drive around towns and cities advertising local promotions or your own business, park it in a prominent place on junction or retail estates, it’s a very cheap form of advertising.
The simple posters we are displaying cost just over a tenner each, so a full-size placard would be easily affordable and cost less than a, one issue, quarter page ad in the local rag, plus you can be sure people WILL look at this eye catcher.
When not required the boards fold flat and can be stored inside the load bed or stood up against a wall. Nothing has been adapted or drilled on the Ape, the “A” board is available for £280 extra.
Parts are readily available on the net, admittedly mostly from Italy rather than off the shelf, but you can get everything you need posted to your door.
In summary, its incredibly good fun to drive, its cheap to own and run and has the potential to earn a few quid, you can’t buy much for under two and half grand these days and we have provided lots of options for the buyer.

Browsing, viewings, test ride / drives, social visits are currently NOT available. We have produced the video to show the item in full motion and will happily take further pics of anything required, we can complete a telephone appraisal and answer any queries.
Collections will ONLY be by prior arrangement and following full payment in advance “Click & Collect”.
