Description Winnebago D22 American Motorhome Vintage Camper - built March 1971. 22ft overall length and the best internal layout Winnebago made.
Incredible original condition, untouched, unmolested and 50 years old. Starts first time and have videos of it running. Was built to a very high specification and includes all the additional extras available at the time. These flat roofed Winnebago very often with roof leaks and issues, as this was barn stored when not in use, and has been in dry storage here in the UK, it has no roof issues at all. No mould or nasty smells inside, with only 2 minor wood work issues inside, which are barely noticeable. Has original manuals and instructions, and some spares and service history.
UK registered and inspected on arrival, V5 in my name and a very cool age related UK registration- Tax & MOT except. Imported from Sacramento, California early last year, was owned for 35 years by the previous keeper. Has extractor with light, original large fridge and freezer. The bathroom/ wetroom is completely original with flushing toilet, overhead shower, sink with taps, medicine cabinet with mirror and light. roof top skylight with extractor fan too. Pull down blinds over all side windows and rear window, original cab/ camper area divider curtain present and 2 piece curtains for the cab and front windows. stacks of storage under seats and in top lockers, drawers and 2 full height wardrobes at the rear. All original ceiling lights and fan work, air conditioning and heating system.
Onboard large generator that starts at the push of a button on the dashboard, which runs well. Old school tape deck and speakers up front which sounds good, original radio still in the dash too, padded dash all dials and gauges work. Onboard water tank and pump, mostly original and works well.
Space in outside storage compartment for 2 large gas bottles. Luggage cradle on rear of roof, with permanent live wireless camera to help reversing.
The sides shows signs of patina. Front and rear bumpers have been repainted in satin black too. Stickers on the lower body and windows are easily removed. As pictured this has a large roll out canopy on the side too, which can be supported by the body, or has pop down legs that can be ground mounted. All 7 tyres in nearly new condition with loads of tread. Viewing (when the current restrictions allow) welcomed near Canterbury. assist with transport if required.
This is the dream van especially for someone who can look after it but unfortunately our circumstances have changed and we need to sell.
