The HMC (Healey Motor Company) Mk1V sports car was conceived as the successor to the Austin Healey Mk3, & was therefore designed and produced as an evolution of the original big Healey Mk3 3000. The entire production was approved and overseen by both Donald Healey & his son Geoffrey. This example, being 1 of only 183 examples produced, was registered in March 1998 & has only 1 previous owner. Finished in a classic colour scheme of Healey Racing red paintwork with contrasting black leather interior with red piping, it is on good authority from the factory that this car is believed to be only 1 of 6 HMC sports cars that were finished in Healey Racing red. The HMC features the traditional white on black 'Smiths' dials, full walnut wood veneer dashboard & sports style leather seating. This wonderful interior is protected by a black mohair folding soft top. Specified with a Kenwood radio/ cd player, adjustable steering column, electric windows and 15" chrome wire wheels shod with four new Falken tyres we have just had fitted. Lastly of course that reliable and powerful V8 3. 9 litre engine that is attached to a slick 5 speed manual gearbox, perfect for relaxed country road driving or spirited jaunts along the 'A' roads.
