Low riding classic 230E with the smooth 2. 3ltr Petrol engine and finished in a sharp looking ice green metallic with a matt pearl white wrapped roof, sat on it’s original 14” steel wheels wrapped in classic white wall tyres.
Lots of money has been spent on the Merc over the years with some big bills including a top end engine rebuild at 44, 000 miles and a large history file with lots of invoices from previous owners.
Just passed a fresh MOT so is now valid until April 2022. The Merc runs extremely well and is as comfy on the motorway as it is cruising in style around town although with the chopped shocks you have to be a little mindful big speed humps!
The cabin is quiet and refined and generally the interior is in excellent condition and all switches, door cards, dash clocks etc are all good. The interior trim and seats are finished in the classic tan colour MB Tex leather look. Seats are all decent, there is small fag burn in the rear seat but generally is very tidy inside.
The bodywork is relatively good for the age, it’s always been dry stored and had extensive welding work done recently to the rear arches/ bottom section of the rear quarters a couple of years ago.
It is starting to show some signs of bubbling in other areas and light corrosion in a few area as shown on the MOT advisories but structurally it’s a a relatively solid Merc that can easily be improved upon over time as a rolling restoration custom project or enjoyed as is.
Starts on the button, new battery fitted too. Gearbox shifts fine through the auto box and the car cruises comfortably at all speeds whislt listening to some tunes on the Nakamichi head unit with some solid bass from the sub in the boot!
