1989 Volkswagen Golf MK I Karmann Clipper Cabriolet Automatic 1800cc. Sapphire Blue metallic with grey upholstery and a black hood. This VW was supplied new on March 1st 1989 by Abridge VW of South Woodford and the car still retains its original dealer pack, handbooks, and all important service book as well as the original dealer number plates. The Golf has covered just 67, 000 miles from new and this is backed up by the stamped service book and old mot certificates. It has been very well cared for throughout its life and has been with the last owner for 9 years. The car has a couple of great upgrades which include a set of upgraded alloy wheels which replaced the factory steel wheels and a Weber carburettor which greatly improves the running of the car. A fresh mot has just been applied which runs through to June 2022 with no advisories. Starting on the button and driving just as it should on test drive memories from the 80’s come flooding back. The soft top operates correctly and with the roof down on a summers day this Golf really puts a smile on your face.
