A very genuine 1958 Fordson Major in great working order ready to enjoy, nothing hidden or tarted up, just how you want to find them, just hop on and drive or work, ideal road run tractor, shows, vintage fairs, steam rally's, endless fun on a very desirable tractor. Starts very well with no Easy Start or any help, it runs well, just spot on. No judders or wobbles when moving along, steering well with no play, pulls like a train, very powerful machine that's good to drive. Good “LIVEDRIVE” clutch with no slip, all gears work as they should. Working brakes and operating handbrake but it needs a rachet pin. Tyre’s all stay up with no slows or leaks.
The PTO selects and works correctly. Hydraulics working. No engine breathing from the oil filler. No oil or water leaks after being parked overnight on clean concrete. Complete original with swinging drawbar, tipping pipe connection & PTO guard.
Fitted with a full Lambourne cab, the doors both open and close and stay closed whilst driving. Road registered and DVLA checked, buyer will need to apply for a log book, completed form in their name supplied.
We are not experts in the various different models of Majors produced, its 63 years young, some bits will probably have been changed or swapped about, we are selling a genuine un-molested off farm tractor in good working order, not a museum standard perfectly original (down to dust caps on the wheels) 1 in million barn find.
A working very well tractor to use, improve and enjoy.
