Ernst Heinkel, as well as Willy Messerschmitt, was a famous German aircraft designer. Before and during the Second World War, around 10, 000 bombers and fighters were released.
After the war, Heinkel switched to producing scooters, selling more than 100, 000 pieces. In 1956, the company “Heinkel” produced the first car of its own design, which was similar to the model of BMW Izetta, but was powered by a single-cylinder engine, which the company “Heinkel” developed for its scooters. With a weight of only 245 kg, it could reach speeds of 85 km/ h. There are two models – the Cabinet – 175 and -200.
This Heinkel is in very good restored condition and is ready to be enjoyed, I have many detailed photos that can be supplied upon request.

It’s perhaps one of the biggest mysteries in “microcar land.” How did Ernest Heinkel manage to launch the bubble car, a car that looks so incredibly similar to the BMW Isetta that had been launched a few years earlier? We’ll probably never know, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting. This example has ...

Microcars were very popular immediately after the war due to the fact that there were too few materials to build normal-sized cars. That was solved by making cars that could provide transport but not the transport of an entire family. At that time, the driver was often alone in the car, so the small size was not an issue. ...
