About the vehicle:
This vehicle was first put into service by the Düsseldorf police in 1959 and was rebuilt in the style of its original delivery during the restoration. In the last two years, minor optical modifications have been made, including the removal of the blue light and aerial, and the installation of a wooden floor specially made for the vehicle. In addition to a trailer matching the Munga, an extensive collection of partly new original spare parts is sold with the vehicle. These include 3 gearboxes, 1 new and 3 used differentials, as well as a complete new set of headlights and tail lights. Furthermore, the parts collection includes various new and used doors, a frame, 50 litres of two-stroke and gearbox oil, as well as several other construction and accessory parts. Besides the SEM radio, the column flag, Bundeswehr trowel and a multitude of other accessories, the car also has the corresponding folding roof with door pockets.
Another rare feature of this vehicle is that the original 1000cc three-cylinder two-stroke engine with Schnürle reverse scavenging has been preserved and is in perfect condition. Even the original lubrication and wiring diagrams are still framed in the bonnet. The entire underbody is in rust-free and mint preserved condition.
In addition to the original owner's manual, the DKW still has two filled folders with original spare parts lists and repair instructions, a workshop manual and a technical book on the Munga. In addition, there is a collection of old TÜV certificates as well as the H-certificate for the vehicle.
The Munga can be inspected in Duisburg.
