Hi everyone, Now with a full Mot until June 26, one advisary... front nearside forward control arm ball joint worn.. to be replaced this week. with genuine mercedes part. mileage is currently 161140.. Contact through Car and Classic for further information and location , Thanks for any interest.
Also new Bosch distributor cap rotor arm and spark plugs replaced this week, running like a dream and ready for winter. Might go on sorn at the end of October if I can find winter storage . Thanks for looking.
HI All, further to other updates here is the latest one. Work done this April includes new rear discs and new pads all round , new front nearside calliper, new drivers door window regulator, new Mot until June 24 with no advisories and emissions are spot on . Also, the car is booked in for laquer peel restoration work on both front wings plus a full machine polish. The advert is now listed as stated because people who've been to see it are looking for mint to concourse, and that as we know is a different league , upwards of 10. 000 i would imagine. So , please , if you are looking for a genuine usable everyday SE with all major work completed but not concourse condition but not far off .. feel free to come and have a look . pre-mot check, Work done included 2 re-enforced box sections fabricated and welded into position at the front rain drain exit points [hard to notice unless you know where to look]. New rear copper brake pipes and new fluid. plus 4 new tyres where also added. Prior to my ownership [April 2020] a lot of work has been done including new springs, discs, and pads, radiator , water pump. thermostat, and hoses , the exhaust system has also been replaced . Unfortunately the service and repair file which i believe was comprehensive has been lost , the previous owner having sadly passed away. Bodywork is excellent for it's age but work has been done as you would expect for a 33 year old car, Electrically faultless, everything works perfectly, I will keep it as my daily drive until the end of October then it will unfortunately go on Sorn under a rain cover for winter. Finished in Signal Red which is rare for a W126 and complemented with perfect Mushroom leather interior and bone dry original beige carpeting, original 80s Panasonic fm radio cassette player as well as the private number plate valued at £700 are all included. Driven sympathetically is effortless with ample power as expected , it also has cruise control which really makes it take off but i personally don't like it unless the motorway is empty.
