This is my second LS430, having first owned a pre-facelift I sold it to purchase this facelift car. If you’ve not looked into these cars before, I assure you, you can’t get a more reliable luxury vehicle for the price. 3UZ Toyota built engines are renowned for their everlasting reliability and mated with the high quality build of this flagship Lexus, you’re well looked after.
Last MOT in December had no advisories. Please check MOT history on this car, it has only failed 3 times in its 18-year life, for small things such as tyres & brake pads, a testament to Lexus quality & previous owners caring for the car.
Cosmetic condition –
Overall it has been cared for during its 18 year life but it does have its imperfections. The most notable are the driver and passenger doors, a common issue on all LS430’s, there is rust patches where the bottom covers of the door meet. Doesn’t require immediate attention as its cosmetic though worth keeping an eye on & possibly repairing in future.
Interior is good shape, wear in the usual places is minimal. Carpets have been cleaned every few months as they’re beige and show dirt quickly. Car hasn’t been smoked in. A ‘car bomb’ aircon fragrance cleaner was used about 6 months ago so there are no bad smells.
Car is standard apart from 2 changes by previous owners –
Rear back boxes on the exhaust have been removed and different exhaust tips. Louder than standard but fine for everyday use. (note all catalytic converters are still in place and haven’t been removed (these can have a value of ~£1000 alone))
Height sensors for air suspension are on adjustable mounts so the car has been tricked to sit 1-2cm lower than standard. Not immediately noticeable and ride comfort is unaffected.
Mechanical – Starts, drives & stops great. I drove the car 3000 miles to the German alps and back in October without fault. I still use the car on a daily basis without the worry that something will go wrong. Air suspension works perfect, holds air fine when left unused for several days.
A point to note, I believe a wheel bearing is requiring replacement, above 50-60mph you can hear it's just slightly louder in the cabin than it should be. It's been like this for some months (even before the trip to Germany) and hasn’t gotten any worse.

I’m selling the car as I’ve recently adopted a dog and it’s not practical with a saloon so I’ve bought an estate. If I didn’t have 4 other cars I’d love to keep this as they’re hugely undervalued, reliable and comfortable.
I will consider offers, but please come view the car first and show me you’re serious.
