Description
The R129 body Mercedes SL is widely acknowledged as the pinnacle of Mercedes engineering. Since its launch in 1989 many improvements were made with both cosmetic and mechanical updates keeping the car as the leader in its class. This 1999 model is one of the last incarnations of the model with improvements to body styling, interior appointments and mechanical upgrades. The SL500 has over 300 BHP on tap, driven through the smooth 5 speed electronically controlled automatic gearbox.
This exceptional car has covered very low miles from new at the hands of just two owners. Supplied new by Appleyard, Reading on June 1st 1999 this would have been an incredibly expensive car in its day. Finished in Zirconic Green metallic with Helios nappa leather this is certainly a head turner and attracts many admiring comments.
