Selling my lovely genuine BMW e30 Alpina C2 2. 7 Diamond Schwarz, 2 door coupe, 5 speed manual. 5 previous owners and only 126K miles since 1989.
This C2 is number 8047 and is on the Alpina register. A letter from Sytner Nottingham is included confirming its authenticity and the list of parts used to convert it to an Alpina before being sold to the first owner in 1989.
This lovely example was registered on the 1st of June 1989, the vehicle was then sold to Mr Makoto Shimomi on the 1st of July 1991. Mr Shimomi then sold the vehicle to Mr Charles Stephen Talmadge on the 5th of March 1994. Mr Talmadge sold the vehicle on to Mr Safraz Zaman in 2004 who then sold the car onto his brother Mr Imtiaz Zaman in 2008. I acquired the vehicle from Mr Zaman in July of 2017.
The car is equipped with the following genuine Alpina parts as well as other desirable options,
Staggered 16" Alpina alloy wheels with Yokohama Neova AD08R's tyres, Alpina MOMO steering wheel, Alpina wooden gear knob, Alpina instrument cluster, Alpina digital vent gauge, Alpina exhaust system inc the Alpina 6 branch manifold. The manifold has been ceramic coated both internally and externally to reduce heat and increase performance. A limited slip diff (S3. 73 ratio) is also fitted.
The car also comes with a very rare item known as a Sound board (Kenwood Heckablage). This is a parcel shelf that has integrated speakers (subs, mids and tweeters.). This has been retrimmed to compliment the rest of the interior.
In Mr Zamans ownership, a Z3 steering rack conversion and manual transmission conversion was carried out at Bexley Motor Works. This transforms the car and only adds to the enjoyment.
In my ownership The car has undergone a complete overhaul with only genuine BMW parts used.
All rust issues have been identified and correctly addressed. New brake pads and discs all round, new and period correct Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks front and rear. The front suspension is fitted with OEM M3/ Alpina adjustable top mounts. A strut brace is also fitted to the front and rear.
The interior has also undergone a full restoration. The rear seats come with optional arm rest and head rests fitted, the front seats are the stunning Recaro Classic C81’s. These seats are period correct and are fully functional with electric adjustment and lumbar support. These are very practical and comfortable seats.
I have also had a Blaupunkt SQR 46 DAB radio professionally fitted. This stereo looks period correct and includes all of the modern features such as Bluetooth handsfree, DAB and various media connections. The best of both worlds.
The aesthetics of the engine bay have been enhanced with the replacement of the power steering hoses with custom made hoses to compliment the Z3 steering rack conversion and for an OEM look. The front and rear sub frames have been refurbished and powder coated, with new bushes fitted to the rear subframe. The engine block has also been repainted to keep it looking fresh.
The entire wiring loom has been retaped using tesa tape and any brittle plugs replaced with genuine ones from BMW. The headlight wash wipers have been overhauled and working correctly. There is also a complete and original toolkit in the boot.
The following maintenance has also been carried out.
A new timing belt and water pump fitted, starter motor refurbished, new clutch fitted, new alternator belt, new power steering belt, new handbrake cables and shoes, gearbox has been serviced and all bushes and seals replaced with new genuine OEM bushes and seals. This has transformed the gearbox, to give crisp tight gear changes. New OEM gearbox mounts fitted, new OEM propshaft doughnut, LSD serviced, brand new alternator fitted, all injectors replaced with brand new OEM injectors, all 6 brake lines have been replaced with HEL braided brake lines as has the clutch line (all in black to give an OEM look). All fuel lines have been replaced so can withstand E10 petrol (I have only ever used premium E5 petrol in this car).
A Clifford G5 Cat 1, Thatcham insurance approved alarm fitted with immobiliser and certificate, 2 fobs supplied. All new locks fitted to the entire car with brand new keys. All parts are new and from BMW. The benefit being no worn-out keys or locks and quite a few keys are supplied when purchasing this kit giving peace of mind to the owner that they have all the keys they will ever need!
I have just had the underside and wheel arches dry ice blasted. This has revealed the lovely beige factory finish of the underside of the car.
Stacks of receipts, previous MOT's and service history are all included. Note, there is unfortunately a mileage discrepancy in March of 2012. The MOT tester has put 119058 instead of 110058. Unfortunately, this error was was noticed too late so could not be corrected. This car has been enjoyed and has stone chips which are inevitable with such a boxy body shape.
This car truly is an investment and has been very well cared for and has wanted for nothing.

I have done my up most to return this car back to its original state and only upgraded items that will increase the life of this car or improve it whilst always keeping its heritage in mind.
