As I understand it, this is the only example of this age and spec on the road in the UK today.
Basic Info
1993 1. 6i CL
58K miles
MOT til 20th. Feb 2023
5dr hatchback
Since I got it in 2016, it has had the following work done:
New Clutch including release bearing and cable
Crank oil seal replaced (done whilst box was off for clutch replacement)2020
New gear linkage set 2020
Timing belt and tensioners 2021
New ignition system (rotor arm/ cap/ leads)
New handbrake cable
4x correct 175/ 70/ 13 Falken tyres 2021
New exhaust from cat - back
And a few services.
Mechanically it is all mk2/ 3 Golf parts- easy to find if needed
I think I have completed enough work on it to ensure its survival, but it no longer really has a place on my fleet.
Bodily, it is solid, but there are plenty giffer dinks and scratches. The boot is Huge!
