Description
Hillman Minx Deluxe – Overdrive & Show Winner
The Audax bodied Minx introduced in 1956 was designed by the Rootes Group with the assistance of the Raymond Loewy design organisation, who were involved in the design of Studebaker coupés in 1953. The trans-Atlantic styling was well received by ‘Middle England’ providing a level of style, refinement and performance for the aspiring profession (my headmaster owned one!) and production continued until 1967 when the final Series 6 ceased production.
Milestones are delighted to offer to market this remarkable last of the line Series 6 Hillman Minx finished in stunning Willow Green with matching interior, super smooth 1725cc five bearing engine, front disc brakes and all synchromesh four speed gearbox with overdrive upgrade.
The previous owner has carried out significant work on the Minx and she presents extremely well. The car has excellent paint, re-chromed bumpers & over-riders, new carpets, seat belts, exhaust system, tyres, electronic ignition system with new coil/ leads.
On the road the car is an absolute pleasure to drive and the overdrive gearbox means the Hillman copes comfortably with modern road conditions. The history file contains old MOT’s, a summary of recent work supported by a variety of invoices, handbooks etc.
Cars of this quality rarely come to market and the Minx will provide lots of pleasure and happy memories to the lucky new owner
