1965 Wolseley Hornet Mk2 Saloon (Only 10303 miles from new)
This incredible car was supplied new by Western Garages Ltd in Newton Abbott to its first local lady owner. It was first registered on 12th may 1965. Finished in ivory/ damask red roof & red leather. The first owner kept the car until 1996 when it was passed to the 2nd local lady owner. At this time the mileage was around 9000 recorded. This owner looked after it for a couple of years before it was passed to the gentleman we purchased it from. Since then it has been used sparingly with very few miles each year. Records show that an unleaded cylinder head conversion was carried out in 1998 and later on a stainless exhaust system and electronic ignition. This all makes for the car starting and running superbly. The history file contains its original passport to service, sales brochures, colour charts, heritage certificate and many old mot certificates. This is a very genuine example even down to the picnic baskets under rear seats. In our opinion it must be the lowest mileage example left (unless we can be told different). The current mot is valid until November 2022 and as would be expected is advisory free. Any inspection is welcome or we can provide additional pictures on request.
