The original MR2 (mid-ship run-about 2-seater) concept was to produce a light weight, no frills sports car with good fuel economy and excellent handling. The third generation perfected this with an uncompromised, 2 seater roadster. Powered by a 140 BHP 1. 8 litre engine and in later models like this, driven through a 6 speed manual gearbox.
This excellent example was purchased by its last owner in April 2007, when it was 1 year old. There are no un-necessary options fitted making this the perfect light weight sports roadster. There is an excellent service history with stamps in the book at 8k, 15k, 23k, 29k, 31k, 36k, 42k, 44k, 54k, 62k, 74k and 82k. Interior and body work are excellent with just minor bubbling to the alloy wheels. Soft top is great with no splits or tears and the heated rear window is better than the plastic windows of its rivals.
