This was built new I believe, by Torbay campers, on a 2. 5td Custom Van. late mk3 so with the excellent MT75 5 speed gearbox.
Being the Custom PAS and electric windows as standard, and the 2. 5 turbo has all the power you need. Heated front and rear screens, both with no chips or cracks and heated mirrors too, for winter users.
Owned this twice recently, both times spending time and money on it.
Winter 2020 after sitting for some time it got the full works mechanically to make it ultra reliable, which these turbo diesels are anyway.
Replaced the belt, water pump, starter motor, alternator and had the fuel pump overhauled, not that it needed anything other than the belt, just to be sure, never got round to using it, sold it to a family member and got it back recently, done about 650 miles since. I have receipts for this work, and the van has some older paperwork history too.
This time, it has had new wings, a repair panel to the lower rear tailgate, and new paint where required and just gone through another no advisory mot.
This vehicle is ready to go touring, it needs nothing, other than the usual care and love all old vehicles need and your personal belongings/ camping gear.
The curtains are a little shabby, probably as old as the van, but something if I do, they will not be to your taste, not urgent though, but something for the new owner, You may just leave them as is.
Rock and roll bed, Smev 2 ring hob, grill that looks like it was never used and a decent size Electrolux fridge with freezer box, Smev stainless steel sink with hot and cold water.
Purpose and professionally built, not a home made jobbie. Loads of storage.
Drives spot on, motorway speeds are no problem at all, mechanically sorted for years to come.
You may have noticed the drivers door card removed, I have a new regulator for the window on order, and away until Monday, the van is available all working next week.
To answer a few questions in one go lol.
It did not have a full repaint and the shade is the original, chassis number is stamped where it should be,
The appliances are very very clean.
You can drive this home without any worries, but delivery can be arranged. There are no faults, warning lights or issues, they come on and go off as they should, none have been removed.
Very easy and light to drive with PAS, light clutch and slick gearbox. Easy to park too given the size.
It does have 4 seat belts, at the moment lap belts to the rear forward facing seats, but as floor fixings are there updating to inertia reel 3 point should not be a major task if required, the lap belts are ideal for pets but not legal for people.
I am 6 foot 6 and can drive it comfortably and, just about, stand upright in the rear, so most should find it fine lol.
There is a tow bar with twin electrics for bike racks, trailers etc. Great day van or for camping sites, though I am sure as it has hot water rigging up an external portable shower should not be an issue, there is a porta potty. 240 volt hook up lead is present.
I believe being a manual it has a 2000kg legal towing limit, which automatic versions do not have, but please do your own checks before towing.
The only alteration from original Torbay spec is two neatly fitted interior lights. The interior is in excellent and very clean condition with no damage or broken items, handles etc, Ready to go touring .
