Beschreibung
A Bonito FT is a kit car that came on the market in the late 60s and early 70s. The letters FT stand for Fiberfab Transformation - a German company that produced polyester bodies that are strongly inspired by the lines of the Ford GT.
The polyester body is located on the chassis with engine and transmission from VW. Together with some parts of other cars, it was then possible to build a "real sports car" on a small budget.
This car was completely restored in 2010. The engine in particular (VW 1600cc series AD) was extensively overhauled and increased to 1835cc for about 120HP, with new camshaft, new (special) cylinder heads with larger valves and two twin barrel carburetors.
The car was entered in multiple motorsports events in Italy in recent years (e. g. Montepellegrino Historic hill climb, Palermo, Sicily; Mugello Revival, Florence).
The car has UK registration, plate and V5C.
GBP 25, 000 or near offer.
NOTE: the car is located near Florence, Italy.
