We always like to test our products and we drove this tractor back to the yard and then topped 5 acres of grass with it, never missed a beat, great driving 62hp good size tractor with power steering, logbook, handbook, rear loader and un-used 5’ tipping link box.
First registered in April 1979 this DB996 has 4238 hours on the clock (un-confirmed) it starts and runs very well, clutch is good with plenty of bite and no slip, all the gears select in all the ranges. Steering is effortless with smooth power steering and no wander at speed. The brakes are firm stopping evenly on a steep slope. Rear lift arms, PTO and tipping pipe all tried out and working, the pickup hitch is releasing and locking back up as intended. Tin work is all fairly straight with some tin worm here and there, very comfy suspension seat.
We have the full current logbook and showing just 3 former keepers and the original operating and maintenance handbook. Tyres all ok, fronts are very recent, rears have age cracks but no slows or leaks, brand new battery just been fitted and comes with a newish adjustable top link.
Bought in error to maintain a very big garden and found to be too large it has not been used for over 12 months and we’d recommend a full service and check over. Has an ignition switch wiring fault (we will have a fiddle), could do with the filters swapped and an oil change. Has a couple of fluid drips, as with any old tractor, some lights working, handbrake and PTO clutch handbrake need lubricating / adjusting. Hour clock not working. No cab or doors included or available, just what you see.
Tractors are selling for silly money just now, here’s an affordable one you can buy and use today, we’ve proved it will do a day’s work (see video), sold to use and improve.
