Benelli Motobi 650 Tornado 1971
It runs really well. I’ve owned it for 6 years and it’s been 100% reliable and an easy starter. It’s in great condition. 36700 KM (22800 miles). The engines are bullet proof, streets ahead of the British competition at the time.
Tornado’s are a fairly rare sight in the UK especially the early Motobi version (reckoned to be the most desirable). Spares haven’t been an issue, there are two German suppliers of NOS parts and loads of second hand parts on Ebay). Electrics are mostly Bosch so parts are common with other makes.
Some of the work that’s been carried out over the years:
Full rewire
Full stainless steel exhausts
Respray in original green, side panels in black and chrome.
Some new chrome
Period Akront aluminium rims. Stainless spokes
Manual, handbook and old invoices included.
It’s regularly serviced and ready to use. Have a good look at the photo’s, they form part of the description. Registered in my name.
