Previously sold by us and been extremely well looked after this super smart DB885 is probably one the nicest ones available anywhere. Only used for road runs and pleasure, it starts runs and rives as well as it looks, a really nice tractor ready to enjoy.
Starts instantly, hot or cold, runs very well with no smoke when pushed hard, all the gears select in all the ranges, the brakes / handbrake are good, all the headlights, side lights indicators, horn and wiper are working. Tyres all good. Dash gauges are working with some recently renewed, 12v beacon socket, very good seat and a home made side seat with belt fitted.
Comes with full current log book, first reg in Feb 1974, DVLA checked, free tax and no MOT required, insurance normally less than £100 and it has nearly a full tank of diesel, complete original drawbar and it also has an original but tatty roll down rear screen for the cab (not pictured)
Not been used for farm work by the current owner and sat in a private collection before that, PTO selects and stops when disengaged, tipper pipe untested the lift arms do lift but very slowly, we’d recommend cleaning out the hydraulic filter. Engine was serviced last year with little use since, the alternator has been recently reconditioned. Clutch pedal needs setting it has a high take up point, no clutch slip or drag just the pedal.
A really smart tractor to drive away and enjoy, with the current trend of fast rising vintage tractor prices its going to be a sound investment, always buy the best available.
