This motorcycle is a piece of history that has been in this unit for a long time with the sidecar. The machine has many interesting features. There are 2 bronze plates on the machine with the inscription: "Rosa D'inverno - Moto Club Milano" and "6 days Rally Steyr Daimler Austria 1952". We believe that the bike never left the Coventry Eagle factory as it is. We assume that the Coventry Eagle was assembled from parts (not all from Coventry Eagle) before or during the Second World War and was used as a combination for defense and laying of communication cable or barbed wire on the war front. The bike was in the hands of a collector from Sicily, Italy for 40 years and then was in a collection in Italy for another 15 years. An interesting detail is the plate on the front fender. The number on the plate matches the frame and engine number. The engine is stamped "War Production" which indicates wartime use. There is certainly of much history to research and discover here. The motorcycle is equipped with an Amal carburetor, Bosch magneto and acetylene lighting.

The bike is ready to ride and the 1000cc JAP runs powerfully.
