He we have a true Muscle car a first-generation Pontiac Firebird.
Effortless power is delivered from the 6600cc engine. The performance is helped through the range by a modern fuel injection system. This was fitted in 2019 from Summit racing. The last owner Mr Wild purchased the car back in 1989 for £2500! From that point on he spent approximately £40, 000 on the car over the years, as this was his pride and joy. We have a file of receipts on the car and some photographic evidence of the restoration.
Power steering was standard, and he upgraded the brakes throughout, with Discs added to the front. The automatic gearbox has been overhauled and moves swiftly through the gears. Mr Wilds idea was to keep the look of the Pontiac standard but enhance the ride of the car wherever he could. The original Rallye wheels are still with the car as can be seen.
It comes to us for the only reason that Mr Wild has passed, and his wife has asked us to move it on, to a good home where this much loved and cared for 60’s Muscle car and enjoy another 33 years in the same ownership!
Possibly one of the best driving Pontiacs we have ever driven.
