Hello and welcome to yet another prime find from Martin Howey Classics where my amazing vehicles are matched only by their equally amazing prices. How does he do it? I hear you ask. Keen and enthusiastic finding coupled with small margins. My aim is to make my classics jump off the page when you read my adverts. A simple enough philosophy and you don't need a degree. Not even in classic cars!
Well, today's offering is a Beauford Open Tourer, these days widely regarded as being "wedding and Prom" cars, although let's face it. These old girls always look like they are up for a picnic in the country when I see them.
In superb order and given a 1977 registration date due to that being the date of the donor ie the Ford Cortina which kindly provided the 2. 0 Pinto engine! She drives superbly and, in fact, you can hardly even hear the engine.
I note - as I would do - that these Beaufords all tend to be plenty of money and you can view their prices on this very website. As ever, I don't play the same game as everyone else and so I suggest that you take a good look at my price and then have a scour around to see how it compares. They are probably all in similar condition. I can't imagine anyone driving around in a tatty one! Mine is cream with light cream leather and I actually prefer the look of the 2-door on a Beauford as opposed to the more chunky looking 4-door. I can't imagine that the others for sale out there are actually any better than this. By the way, the passenger seat lifts out with virtual instant release allowing Brides ample leg room. All in all, a delightful looking vehicle which has the added advantage of making you lots of money as a regular wedding guest!
I have now been established as a one-man band classic car dealer for 20 years and pride myself on my buying prowess and - due to small margins - my prices which I firmly believe are up there among the very best in the UK classic car marketplace.
