1982 Kreidler Florett RMC-S Super Star K54/ 540 50cc fitted with the unrestricted 6. 25hp RS Engine, 20mm Bing Carburettor and 5 speed gearbox. Comes with the super-rare MBV ALR4 Fairing.
Bought in 2021 as a project, I stripped the Kreidler down to the bare frame and rebuilt it using new and used parts as necessary.
The gearbox was sent away to a specialist for a (very expensive!) rebuild as the gears were not selecting properly.
New parts fitted included - front brake disc and pads, front brake caliper, front brake hydraulic line, piston ring, pair of Continental Conti Street tyres, front sprocket, rear sprocket, chain, battery and BUMM (Busch & Muller) mirrors.
Famed for their success in 50cc Grand Prix racing in the 1970s, Kreidlers are rare in the UK. They are still massively popular in Germany and the Netherlands which means that spare parts supply is great. Virtually all spare parts other than the frame and engine casings are still available.
The RS engine has the original Mahle cylinder and 'Breitwand' head, with a fabulous power band above 6000 rpm, the bike will easily achieve over 50 mph. It sounds great with the unusual twin tail pipe exhaust. Search 'Fantic Man' on YouTube to see videos of the bike being ridden.
Everything now works on the bike as it should, lights, indicators, brake lights, speedo, rev counter etc. When I bought the bike it had all sorts of extra wiring and 2 batteries(!). I have tidied up the original wiring rather than a complete rewire, but this remains an option if you wished.
Cosmetically the chrome tank is in nice condition with just a couple of tiny dents. The frame and rear mudguard have been painted in the past and look fine from a few feet away. Closer inspection reveals a few runs and also some other imperfections, it looks like the paint has reacted with the old paint underneath. I've tried to show this in the photos. The bike could easily be taken to the next level by having the frame and rear mudguard painted or powder coated. The swinging arm, centre stand, footrests and rack have been painted in the past, again these could be improved upon if you wish. I chose to leave the paintwork and concentrate on improving the mechanical and electrical aspects.
The super-rare MBV ALR4 fairing has never been fitted, I also have the original 'M-model' drop handlebars to match the fairing and can supply details of how to fit etc.
The 17 inch Weinmann 'Star' alloy wheels are in good condition and the Conti Street tyres give excellent grip, I have probably done about 150 miles in total on the tyres so they are still like new.
The Kreidler was first registered in the UK in March 1992, I presume it came from Germany or the Netherlands before that. I was told that it spent some time in a museum on the Isle of Man but have no evidence to support this.
Current V5C in my name.
MOT with no advisories valid until 4th May 2023, it will not need another MOT as it becomes "historic' and therefore MOT and Tax exempt in April 2023.
I have a German language repair manual plus various new and used spare parts that will come with the bike.

The Kreidler Florett is 40 years old and therefore no warranty is implied or given, but all the work mentioned above has been carried out recently and the bike ridden regularly.
