Coming to us from c45 years of continuous ownership; this veteran has successfully completed the London to Brighton run on numerous occasions in addition to serving as a family wedding carriage. The car is in slightly oily rag condition belonging to an owner to whom originality is paramount & car washing anathema to him.
This car wears original coach work by noted Veteran French body builder Leon Molon of Lehavre: not the first car we have sold with a Molon body. It takes the from of an open drive demi limousine with a large roof extending cover to the multiple occupants.
The engine is a powerful 4 cylinder Aster unit of just under 3 litres providing ample power for forward motion even when fully loaded. The car is in excellent mechanical condition starting easily & settling done to a steady smooth idle. We plan to disinterr the car from its current slumber in the spring & shoot a full set of photographs & a driving video, but it is available now.
The front of the car has good black buttoned hide. To the rear is buttoned cloth that appears to be original but in very good order along with brocade lined doors. A full set of roll down curtains come with the car for inclement weather.
The car runs on beaded edge tyres fitted to wooden artillery wheels making the steering quite light. Cars such as this from long term ownership rarely come to market making this a rare & desirable find.
