Lot 97
1944 BSA M20 500cc
Reg. no. YVL 167
Frame no. WM20113746
Engine no. 113746WM20B
The M20 certainly proved its worth during the conflict, before the war BSA supplied them in small numbers but this soared to a total of over 125, 000 machines by the end of the war. After the war the ex-WD bikes were sold off in batches and eagerly scooped up by the public. This bike was restored in 2018 and we are told that it is a good and easy starter; an electronic regulator has been fitted. It is offered here with a V5C.
Estimate: £4, 800 - 5, 500
