Osella competed in F1, F2, F3 and World Championship Sportscars for many years. They continue to produce sports racing cars to this day, which have been especially successful in European hillclimbs. The FA. F was a customer car produced for the Italian Super Ford (FF2000) series. A successful chassis for several seasons, it was designed by Antonio Tomaini (who became a lead Ferrari engineer for Villeneuve) and Giorgio Stirano.
This example was 5th in 1979 Italian Super Ford 2000 championship. Subsequently in storage for many years it was rebuilt in 2014/ 15 and raced very successfully by Tom White in the HSCC Formula Ford 2000 championship. The car holds several Class B lap records, and also scored outright race wins at Spa, Silverstone & Kirkistown.
Recently fitted with a new dash panel and front brake discs, and little used since. The Osella is offered for sale with two spare noses, slicks and wets on split rims and a history file including period photos. A covered trailer is also available by separate negotiation.
Would benefit from some cosmetic improvements and priced accordingly. The Osella represents a rare and interesting entry for the increasingly popular Historic FF2000 series, and has the added advantage of being able to accommodate tall drivers.
