It's time to part with my beloved Caterham Top Gear Special version!
I bought it in Lockdown to keep me sane as I've always wanted one ( had a couple of Westfield's but just couldn't stretch to the Caterham at that time!)
I have to say one of the best decisions I have made, provided me with lots of happy days being out in the countryside over the last couple of years on the "S" bends enjoying the thrill of driving as it should have been without all the electrickery!!
This car is bullet proof and our last long journey was a road trip (one of the reasons why it has to go!) Travelled from West Yorkshire across to Wales, down the coast to Somerset and then on to Cornwall back round and up the Hereford then on to West Yorkshire again, 1000 mile road trip and it didn't skip a beat( my wife did though, 7 days in tight confinement of a 7 and anyone who has had one knows the challenge!!)
Some of the features are:
Leather seats
Full Wet weather gear/ hood/ doors( and you'll need it)
Boot cover
Quick release OMP steering wheel
Minilites
5 Speed box
Live axle
Stack gear change indicator( I've never used this for track)
New windscreen( last one cracked on the mamouth road trip)
So the missus wins as she wants more comfort hence why it's going.
It's a wonderful starter 7 and will definitely provide the happiness I received to whoever buys.
Be quick as it is priced to sell and it will go.
* Just took it to Harrogate classic car show last Monday where it attracted some great interest, it started first time on a lovely Sunday 150 mile round trip and once again didn't skip a beat*
If I receive the asking price I will take it to get a full MOT.
