Beschreibung
We are really pleased to offer this wonderfully presented example of the elegant classic British sports coupe, offered from long-term ownership, and benefitting from previous restorative maintenance.
Under the bonnet sits the original, ‘matching-numbers’ 3. 8-litre inline-six, producing around 220bhp and driving the rear wheels via a four-speed Moss manual transmission with overdrive.
Dispatched to Jaguar dealer Henlys of London on 27 April 1967 and first registered one month later, this MkII 3. 8 has had four owners from new, and was acquired by its latest custodian in December 2016.
Originally finished in Warwick Grey, this MkII has been refinished in a charming light blue metallic hue, over a dark blue leather-trimmed interior, featuring a handsome wood dashboard, upper door cards, and window trims.
The factory specification includes the usual Jaguar refinements a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, manually operated windows, Smiths gauges, dashboard toggle switches, fold-down rear tables, push-out front and rear quarter light windows, and heater and ventilation controls.
This example is fitted with a dark blue Webasto sunroof, an electronic distributor, an alternator conversion, electric power steering, a stainless-steel exhaust system, an alloy radiator, and a Caliber retro-style CD stereo with a USB input.
The car will be supplied with a spare wheel, the original tools, two sets of keys, the V5C, a large Jaguar service manual, a record trace certificate from Jaguar, and a small collection of old maintenance invoices.
Under preparation and to be supplied with 12 Months MOT.
