A 1950 Nuffield Wolseley Oxford London Taxicab. 3 door model. Built by Nuffield Motors originally at the Wolseley factory. This model was made between 1947 and 1953. This is one of the later improved Series 3 models. Open luggage platform. Taxi meter fitted. Seats recently reupholstered. New water pump, fuel pump, ignition system and replacement gearbox. Petrol 1800cc engine. Drives well. Sensibly priced and a good investment. Open to sensible offers. Rare model, only 815 Series 3 models were built with only a handful of survivors. Ideal for weddings, film and TV work. A rare piece of motoring history, attracts attention wherever it goes. Was rebuilt some 20 years ago, could do with a general refresh to a couple of areas of bodywork.
