BEAUFORD 2 DOOR OPEN TOURER FULLY SERVICED WITH NEW CAM BELT
We bought this great fun car in the winter months for our daughter’s wedding this summer and job done, it is now available for the next owner to enjoy. We’ve had many enjoyable days out for picnics, National Trust houses, cross country tours, it has never missed a beat.
This 2 door model benefits from a cream leather interior, a very condition good hood with a clear rear window and side screens and no fading, period style cushions and matching sheep skin effect rugs, huge luggage trunk, lift out front passenger seat for easier wedding / prom dress access, discreet twin port USB / 12v socket charging points under the dash and a good heater.
1977 donor car, converted in the 80’s, spent many years in a wedding car fleet until we bought it late last year, always lived inside. Its tax and MOT exempt, it’s cost me just over £100 to insure on separate classic policy without any no claims to allocate. 2. 0lt Ford Pinto petrol engine running perfectly fine on modern fuel, we have done over 1600 miles.
1930’s styling with modern mechanics, very easy to drive, none of the vintage car faffing to worry about. In our ownership the car has had a full engine service, been upgraded to electronic ignition and had the cam belt and water changed last month in preparation for its big day with us last weekend, its ready to drive away and enjoy, I would happily set off to Cornwall in the car, its well behaved at motorway speed and great fun rolling along the back roads.
Plenty of pictures available, showing wedding mode with 3 seats and tourer mode with 4, hood up, hood down, underside, under the bonnet, the many day trips we have taken in the car, walk round video available, any inspection welcome and encouraged.
All the lights work including the spot lights, horn, wipers, has good brakes and handbrake, smooth clutch, its running a matching set of very good road tyres, doors click shut and both lock up, good size history file included. Only known issue, the dashboard rev counter is not compatible with the electronic ignition upgrade and no longer provides a reading, a suitable version to swap over is available online if required.
The car is not new, it’s not immaculate, very close inspection will find minor flaws here and there, as with any older car, if you want perfection try some of the £18k Beauford’s on offer, if you want an affordable, very presentable, well serviced, drive away today version, get in touch.
