Mercedes C36 AMG Auto 1995 (N Reg)
Built at the tail end of the over engineered generation, or in other words before the accountants fully took over.
More formally named the Mercedes-Benz C 36 AMG for sale and based on the C-Class W202 series. AMG essentially took the C-Class at the time and injected it with their now famous steroids producing a barnstorming 3. 6-litre straight-six, 280 HP saloon producing 385 Nm of torque.
This particular example is a recent purchase by our consigning customer coming out of long term ownership and only has MB service stamps in the book. A recent major service has been carried which also included a new battery. The car presents well with only a few age related marks here and there which can be seen in the photos. The most notable of which is on the n/ s/ r quarter where the boot lid meets the wing.
The interior feels honest for it’s mileage which is always reassuring and show’s no major rips or tears and would respond well to an afternoons detailing session.
BMW’s variant at the time was the E36 M3, both of which have seen positive residual growth in recent years but still remain affordable and usable, for now.
The car has caused quite a stir internally due to both the nostalgic value and potential investment opportunity - the C 36 AMG was the first AMG car to be developed by both AMG and Mercedes-Benz.
It will be a shame to see it go as it has been a pleasure taking care of it.
