This early Daimler Series 2 Coupe is the 107th RHD example.
The car presents well and during an earlier restoration the badging and chromework has been mostly changed to Jaguar.
The body is sound and the paintwork good in original red with tan leather upholstery. The usual vinyl roof covering , often hiding a multitude of issues was removed on respray and kits are readily available should the next custodian wish for originality.
In recent times a new battery and alternator have been fitted and the underneath has been overhauled with many new parts including braking system and twin fuel tanks with a specialist invoice for nigh on £2000. The car has just passed its mot with no advisories.
With a small amount of fettling this will be a wonderful appreciating classic with grace, pace and comfort. Offering more economy that the V12 variant and less complicated to maintain, this car draws attention wherever it goes. With its pillarless window system the lines are just beautiful.
The car was sold at auction for over £15, 000 4 years ago and has had the work outlined above together with some electrical issues addressed.
