EXTERIOR
Finished in a exquisite rich shade of Memphis Red, which is now a Heritage Colour and available only via McLaren Special Operations. This 720S exudes an imposing malevolence with track focused, angular lines created with every bit of surgical-like precision makes for truly spectacular visuals.
Featuring the Carbon fibre exterior upgrade ? Pack 1 ? including hood air intakes, door mirror castings and rear fender air intakes make for a great contrast against the red bodywork.
INTERIOR
The driver focused interior intensifies the thrill of driving the 720S, leaving no stone unturned in the quest to optimise performance without compromising driver engagement. From the liberal use of weight-saving Alcantara, red leather to the luxuries of navigation, climate control and a central touchscreen this example has perhaps the perfect balance between drivability and performance.
The carbon fibre tub used in the 720S chassis is based on the similar principle of the MonoCage unit in the P1 although now 18 kg lighter than its predecessor. Called the MonoCage II, the tub allows for dihedral doors with large cut outs for easier entry and exit. It also reduces the size of the pillars of the roof, improving visibility for the driver. The same tub underpins the Senna and the Speedtail sports cars.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 720S features McLaren?s M840T engine which is an evolution of the M838T used in the 650S. The engine uses twin-scroll turbochargers which have a low inertia titanium-aluminium turbines in order to spin with maximum efficiency. The engine has a rated power output of 720 ps at 7, 000 rpm, as such giving the car its name. With incredible torque throughout the rev range the car has an incredible operating bracket; refined at a cruise and ballistic with everything turned up.
Showing an exemplary service routine with 6 stamps in the service book, the car is on the button with the most recent service carried out at 18, 344 miles in July of 2023.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The recently refurbished lightweight forged wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tyres, focusing yet again on outright performance for the road or track.
The 720S benefits from a carbon fibre braking system as standard, greatly increasing stopping power and longevity compared with conventional steel setups.
HISTORY FILE
Originally supplied by McLaren Birmingham on 14/ 06/ 2017 ? one of the first batch of cars to be delivered in the UK.
In addition it was further specified with additional options of a carbon fibre pack, interior carbon pack and now a heritage colour of Memphis Red.
This car shows annual servicing with 6 stamps in the service book with the most recent service carried out at 18, 344 miles in July of 2023.
Present with the car is book pack, service booklet, two sets of keys, MOT certificates and V5.
