Description
1935 Railton Straight 8 Open Tourer by R. E. AL Coachworks. This unique motor car is believed to be the only one ever produced and was displayed at the 1935 Olympia Motor Show. The car has had a well-documented life and ownership history and is accompanied by a vast array of paperwork and documentation with copies of the original advertising posters and photographs of the car from the motor show. This model had many wonderful features including semi concealed hood, streamlined domed wings and folding screen with side wings to form racing shields. Recent work has included fitment of a new clutch and overhauled gearbox, all brakes re lined and the engine fully serviced. A rare opportunity to acquire such a unique Railton which has been a favourite fixture at many Railton Owners Club shows and has been heavily featured in their publications.
