Massey Ferguson tractor in excellent working order with full cab, ready to use or restore, will happily go to work today, previously sold by us in 2020 and little used since, it had new oil and filters fitted and the oil is still clear, its only done 47 hours in 3 years.
Starts instantly, from cold, even on a frosty morning with no heat or help, runs very well, no smoke when pushed hard, good oil pressure on working gauge. All the gears select in high & low ranges, smooth clutch with no judder, standard 6 speed gearbox as fitted on the 135, the clutch is smooth with no judder. Brakes are very good and well balanced, the handbrake works, needs oiling, bit stiff.
Steering is good with nominal play, steady at speed without wagging the wheel.
Lift arms and PTO operate with good hydraulic pressure, modern tipper pipe fitted and it has all the hitch bracket, just needs a drawbar finding. Has optional foot throttle, which works well, the hand throttle is stiff to move. Tyres are all good, a little worn but no slows or leaks, see pics.
Cab, wings and tin work are all straight and mostly solid with just some scabs and tin worm staring to appear here and there. Both cab doors click shut and stay shut, they?ve even still got the original grab handles. The lights work, side and head lights and even the dash light.
Original tacho still fitted and working with 7482 hours. Wiper and indicators not currently working. Original ID plate present showing an early 1972 serial number with 148 prefix, no log book and not road registered, it?s not entirely the correct spec for a 148, it would normally have an 8 speed gearbox, it does have the bigger front and rear wheels giving more ground clearance and the heavy duty lift arms which will take CAT 1 or 2 balls, the engine is the Perkins AD3 152 with a correct serial number.
We are not claiming this is a totally original, pristine condition, one owner tractor, we are selling a good working Massey and the person that buys it won?t care if it has the wrong type of valve cap on the wheels for this year and model, they will just want an ultra-reliable Massey for sensible money.
So, to sum up, cracking running, driving, stopping tractor, with bigger wheels and arms than a 135 but with the same engine and box AND its cheaper than a 135, it?s a no brainer really.

Local delivery within 20 miles of Carlisle is normally for free, further afield we can deliver to most of the UK for roughly £1 per road mile, one way from Carlisle, please ask for a price.
