Description
The name Cupra has long been associated with SEAT's sports models. The name is a combination of the words 'Cup Racing' and appears for the first time on the 1996 Seat Ibiza GTi. The Gti Cupra was launched to celebrate SEAT's victories in the World Rally Championship. The Ibiza was champion of the 2-liter class three years in a row - 1996, 1997 and 1998.
This very rare Ibiza 6K is, therefore, the genesis of a lineage of machines that seduced many enthusiasts and which became its own brand from 2018 onwards!
In this generation, with a lot of input from the Volkswagen group, the Ibiza was a resounding sales success and many still populate the roads of Europe. The GTi Cupra features the famous 2. 0 16v ABF engine, common to the Golf GTi, which, thanks to 150 hp and 180 Nm, delivers respectable performance. The top speed is 215 km/ h and the sprint 100 km/ h is completed in 8. 3 seconds.
The package is light, weighing just over 1000 kg, and the rigidity of the body, the 5-speed gearbox and the well-tuned chassis guarantee a very fun drive! The light body, weighing just 1000kg, the 5 speed gearbox and the tuned chassis make this car a very fun hot hatch!
The exclusive Kiwi Green paintjob, the white wheels and the ‘CUPRA’ stickers are original and give this Ibiza a distinction and appearance typical of a rally car. Inside, the highlights are the half-leather Recaro seats and the white faced gauges.
