Land Rover Series 3 88" County Station Wagon 200 Tdi Conversion

This vehicle is one of the last Series 3 models which features the bigger11 inch front dual line brakes.

First Registered 1st December 1982.

The vehicle benefits from a 200 Tdi engine into the rebuild which makes modern day use much more bearable particularly in traffic and on motorways. The upgrades are all very substantial and have been incorporated into the rebuild very well. The turbo is still fitted to the vehicle and it really does drive very well and will go everywhere in top gear.

The body work is very straight and is way above the average 41-year-old Series III Land Rover.

It has benefited from a light polish and wax on all panels.

The wheels are finished in Limestone, which is factory correct for a 1982 County Station Wagon.

The underside has not been covered in underseal but preserved in new clean oil, you can still see the factory overspray under the wings and rear body this is exactly how they left the factory. No welding is required anywhere on this vehicle and it is ready to go.

A few marks have been touched in with a touch up brush over the years but nothing considerably noticeable that requires any attention in the near future. The vehicle has had a set of new tyres all round, rear brakes rebuilt, fully serviced.

The original factory fitted cloth front seat backs are in good condition as are the bases except for a small tear on one of the rear seat bases, they have never been replaced and are the original and have become very hard to source. Therefore finding a vehicle which has all it's interior complete is rare.

Door cards to the front doors are original factory items and are complete and are in great condition. Sun visors that are perfect. As is the headlining.

The dash is unmarked with no cracks or sun damage.

The rear crossmember has had a repair across the back but is all solid.

Being a later Series 3 it benefits from dual line brakes and a servo which help with the braking power. All modifications have been well thought of and neatly hidden. So the overall appearance of the vehicle looks like a standard Series 3 until you see it overtaking you in the fast lane at 70+ mph. The vehicle is also fitted with an overdrive which significantly improves the drive, particularly on dual carriage ways and motorways.

Four-wheel drive and low range engage, as they should. The gears change up and down as they should. The vehicle fires at the turn of a key there is no smoke on start up and it pulls very well.

No expense has been spared.

The vehicle still retains most of its original paint finish, Russet Brown with an its factory fitted interior and Limestone wheels. There is a nice patina to the bodywork, there is some small bubbling in places but nothing to be too concerned about.

The vehicle will be supplied with a 12 months mot from the sale date.
