Beauford is a British family run automobile company based in Biddulph, Stoke on Trent. The cars are supplied in kit form and are therefore highly customisable. Beauford are founding members of S. T. A. T. U. S. (Specialist Transport Advisory and Testing Utility Society). Originally based in Upholland, Lancashire the company later moved to Stoke on Trent. The first cars were made in 1978 and used a Mini bodyshell as the passenger compartment later replaced by a glass fibre moulding. The company has supplied over 1, 500 kits. At the front is a long bonnet with flowing wings at either side to give the appearance of a 1930s-style Grand Tourer. Because of the classic look of the vehicles the cars have become popular as wedding transport. The shell of the body is made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), and the bonnet and panels are alloys. The body is mounted on a ladder chassis.
First registered on 3rd July 2007, 'J94 CHE' was built to order for the sole and current owner for use in his wedding hire business by Car Creations, Doncaster as the highest specification possible Four Door, Long Wheelbase Tourer in the obligatory colours of Old English White over a Champagne Leather interior with Maroon Carpets and a Black Mohair hood. In over 27 years, this car has only covered just over 13, 000 miles and has been fastidiously maintained and upgraded to suit with an overhauled Ford 2. 0 Litre DOHC engine fitted recently that is mated to a four speed automatic transmission, bespoke Chrome Wire Wheels by MWS International and power steering. The car is now presented as a vehicle that the vendor feels is immediately 'ready to continue its wedding career' and would be an excellent addition to any fleet of wedding vehicles. The vendor describes the overall condition of the car as 'very good' throughout.
