Power comes from a 3. 0 litre V6 diesel with a VTG (variable turbine geometry) turbo charger, resulting in 242 bhp and 550 Nm of torque, coupled with an 8 speed Tiptronic semi automatic transmission.
A Cayenne is as competent off road as it is on, with clever systems including permanent all wheel drive, with 60% rear and 40% front split; in tricky conditions, the self-locking centre diff will transfer torque to whichever axle has the better grip.
