The Lamborghini Jalpa, introduced in 1981, was the successor to the Lamborghini Silhouette. The car was designed to be a cheaper alternative to the Lamborghini Countach and was quite successful. Only 419 copies were eventually made. The Jalpa was a Bertone design, powered by a 3. 5 liter V8 good for 259 hp and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
