One of the last W126 models registered, finished in black on black with just 48k miles from new. An exceptional example.
First registered in September 1992 by Geyfords Mercedes-Benz of London. Finished in Blue Black metallic with black leather upholstery and benefitting from a very high specification including air conditioning, cruise control, electric front seats and heated seats all round, electric rear blind, electric column and reading lights.
At only a few months old the car was purchased by a Mr D Mulford, a US Ambassador living in London and remained in his ownership for 25 years. In collector ownership for the last five years.
Evidently garaged from new, long-term ownership and with low mileage, this W126 is in exceptional original condition outside, inside and underneath. The bright yellow of the zinc plating under the bonnet indicates how fresh and sharp this car is. Similarly, the interior exhibits zero signs of fade or wear. The wheels are unmarked and wear Michelins all round. It even still wears its original number plates, retains its original radio and the dealership sticker remains on the rear window.
Coming with all its original manuals and handbooks, service book, history file and spare key, plus the issue of Classic Mercedes magazine where it was featured as the cover car and a photograph of Mulford with the car.
Recently serviced and MoT’d with no advisories.
This must be one of the last W126 models to be registered as the W140 replacement had already been launched months earlier. There are certainly very few W126s remaining that of this car’s calibre, not to mention its low mileage, specification and desirable colours.
